PROCLAIMING THE

GOOD NEWS

OF JESUS CHRIST!

WHO WE ARE

Trinity Church is a congregation of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC) located in Bolivar, Missouri (Springfield Metro). We embrace the historic Christian faith as summarized in the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Definition of Chalcedon. Trinity seeks to be a church that is set apart from the world, for the well-being of the world. We faithfully commune in worship every Sunday, spreading the message of Jesus Christ, and living with righteousness, compassion, and humility in our walk with the Almighty God (Micah 6:8)."

What style of preaching can I expect to see at Trinity Church?

The style of preaching you will see at Trinity Church (and most CREC churches) combines expository and exegetical methods to emphasize the authority of Scripture and nurture faith. Expository preaching systematically applies Scripture to life, while exegetical preaching provides historical and cultural context for deeper understanding. This approach highlights the importance of preaching for salvation, as seen in 1 Corinthians 1:21 and Romans 10:14, and affirms the value of both the Old and New Testaments. By preaching in this way, the church ensures that biblical truth is taught thoroughly, making it relevant and applicable to daily life.
